FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. What skills do I need to make the team?
We are always looking for a positive attitude and potential!!
2. I have never done coed cheer do I have to know how to do that
before I try-out?
Most everyone on the team has learned how to partner
stunt while on the team not before. We also have an All-girl
team.
3. Once I make the team what are the school requirements?
You must be enrolled in 9 units during Spring and Fall, then 1
unit during summer and winter.
4. When are practices?
We practice Monday and Wednesday night 8pm to 11pm.
5. Do you take people mid year?
We do, but only if they already have at least basic tumbling
skills or Coed with at least a toss to hands.
6. Do you get anything special from the school if you are on the
cheer team?
You receive priority registration and access to a counselor
that is hired just for athletes and understands what you
need!
7. What sports do we cheer for?
We cheer for football and basketball both home and away.
8. Can I pick to just try-out for Coed or Allgirl?
The coach after try-out and summer training will decide
what team you are best suited for.
9. Does Glendale College Cheerleading Compete?
Yes we are a highly competitive team but school games and
events come first.
10. Who gets to compete?
The coach chooses who goes on the competition floor by
who meet the school requirements, skill, and personality.

Our first meeting is Monday May 2nd, your first payment is due that same day $300.
Your practices are every Monday and Wednesday 8-11, if there is a conflict keep me informed.
Please email me your student id number NOW so I can place you on priority registration.
You must enroll for the spirit/class this summer session. If you are a returning member you might need to enroll in weight training.
Be prepared, fundraising begins immediately!
